A Singer-Songwriter
"Like other art forms, music can render an isolated scene or tell a full story; give life to a dream or capture an actual event. In most cases, I combine imagination with observation and creativity to create my stories."
- Terry Vital
Terry writes in few genres and today her music mostly falls under the singer/songwriter, alternative and contemporary folk categories. Her songwriter sound takes on two distinct characteristics. The first is her solo guitar playing with harmonies that push emotion to your doorstep with energetic bass lines supporting confident, well-articulated finger-style. The other is her forward, sometimes imposing and edgy lyrics that basically insist that the listener actually listen.
Terry’s vocal performance can be low in pitch, unpolished, but always authentic and honest-sounding which contributes to the vulnerability of the characters she describes in her stories.
